It's official.

We're actually doing it. I don't know the exact date we are moving to Yokohama, but it's around Sept. 1. Are we nuts? Quite likely. Will that stop us? Hell, no. This is too good an opportunity for our family, for our horizons, for our future as 'global citizens.'

We have a lot to do in the next few months. Get our stuff sold or stored or shipped, get the house ready to rent, learn some Japanese, find a place to live, get the kids registered for an international school, find homes for all the animals, host some out of town guests (the Japanese delegation arrives June 10), have a lot of bbqs, and all the little details that need tying up before we flee the country.

Watch this space for future updates.

Great for you. You will love living in Asia. I took a job in Taiwan 5 years ago and love it. Get Skype installed and you'll be all set to communicate with the family and friends back home. Good luck to you guys.....
